CLASSROOM TEACHING AIDES
The best place to search for information about using experiential education techniques and teaching models in the classroom and incorporating experiential education into teaching syllabi is AEE's Journal of Experiential Education, published for over 25 years.

San Francisco's Greenbelt Alliance has created a curriculum entitled "The Greenbelt in Your Schoolyard" that examines the interdependence between humans and nature in an urban environment. The booklet, which is in compliance with California teaching standards, contains five activities for grades 3-8, each with a different theme (plants, wildlife, water, food and nature in the city). The curriculum was written by Leslie Comnes (who has worked on environmental education materials such as LifeLab and Project Learning Tree) to help Bay Area youth outings participants see how nature is not just something 'out there' that requires a special field trip to visit. While the activities and information in this curriculum are geared toward the Bay Area, the information, activities and worksheets it contains are adaptable to other areas. To download a free PDF of the curriculum, go to http://greenbelt.org/resources/reports/report_curriculum.html
