AEE’s 8th Annual Symposium on Experiential Education Research (SEER)

SEER provides a structured forum at AEE’s Annual International Conference for presentations and discussion about research in the field. Presentations are made by scholars from around the world who have been invited through a blind peer-review process. The symposium is composed of four, 90-minute blocks of time during which researchers make 15-minute presentations. Presenter/audience interaction and feedback is encouraged, and noted researchers and scholars provide commentary. SEER’s goal is to provide a venue to develop the knowledge base in experiential education.

To quote one of the field’s leading researchers and former SEER Co-Chair Keith Russell: “As the experiential education field continues to grow and evolve in a social, political, and economic context of evidence-based programming and practice, research will play a vital role in helping maintain and further the mission of experiential education in helping children, youth, families and communities develop their fullest human potential.”
